English Department

We believe that communication is the most vital unifying aim of our English program– the factor which links the world of school and the future of the student. Our place is not to exhaust the many methods of communication but rather to concentrate on the processes of communication by means of the verbal symbols of the English language. We recognize, however, that investigation of other modes, such as visual and kinetic, can shed light on verbal communication. The curriculum provides for continuous development of basic skills and opportunities for individual accomplishment.
