Admissions: How does an 8th grader apply to Kennedy? - If the student is currently enrolled in a Catholic grade school the application will be provided by the Principal or 8th grade teacher
- If the student is enrolled in PSR the PSR teacher will have the applications
- If the student is in a public school and not attending PSR, contact Kennedy at (636)227-5900 ext. 104 or the Catholic Education Office at (314)793-7302 for an application
How will I know if Kennedy received my son or daughter’s application? Kennedy will send out a letter after the Archdiocesan Application to Catholic High Schools has been received. The student will be notified if something is missing from their admission file.
Shadow Program What is the Kennedy Shadowing Program? Kennedy allows 8th grade students to visit the school during the fall and 7th graders in the spring. The visiting students have the opportunity to experience a typical day at Kennedy. It is a great way to get a feel for the classes, teachers, and current students. It is highly encouraged for prospective students. It is a great way to experience Celt Pride.

At what grade level should students shadow at Kennedy? Kennedy welcomes 8th grade students in the fall (September – November) and 7th grade students in the spring (February- April).
How far in advance do I need to call to schedule a shadow visit?
We recommend that appointments are made at least one week in advance.
Is shadowing a half or full day? Visiting students have the option of spending either a half or full day. A half day would conclude before lunch at 11:30am. A full day would conclude at 2:45. Students are dropped off and picked up at our Main Entrance at our Front Lobby. Visitor parking is provided in the front of the large parking lot on campus.

When will my son or daughter eat lunch? If a student is visiting for the entire day lunch is provided for them in the café compliments of Kennedy.
What is the dress code for the shadowing day?
We ask that visiting students follow our casual out of uniform guidelines. Visiting students may not wear jeans, track pants, or athletic shorts. Many times students wear their school uniforms. Khaki pants and collared shirts are popular options. Capri pants are acceptable.
Can my son or daughter shadow someone they already know? Kennedy has a Student Ambassador program, which consists of current Kennedy students that serve as tour guides for our visitors. If your son or daughter knows a current Kennedy student and would like to shadow them please make that fact know when scheduling the appointment.
Where should I drop off and pick up my son or daughter? When coming onto Kennedy’s campus, veer into the large parking lot on the right side (past the Kennedy sign). There is visitor parking along the front of the building. Park there and enter through the double doors. You will be in the newly renovated Lobby. The Enrollment Coordinator and assigned Student Ambassador will be waiting for you there.
