 NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY

Moderators:  Ms. Barbara Kersting, Ms. Mary-Ann Kelemen, and Ms. Chris Heideman

The John F. Kennedy Catholic High School Chapter of the National Honor Society was formed in 1974.  NHS promotes recognition for students who reflect outstanding accomplishments in the areas of scholarship, leadership, character and service.  This chapter makes a positive difference in the lives of individuals and in the spirit of the community and school.

In order to be eligible for nomination into the National Honor Society, a sophomore or junior must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or greater.  A nominated student must complete an application and demonstrate strong qualities in the areas of service, leadership, service, and character.  The application is then reviewed by a panel of teachers.  Once invited to join the National Honor Society, a student must maintain a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or greater and perform a level of service as defined by the moderator.
