Kennedy Senior Kaitlynn Smith's article for the Suburban Journal's annual Old News Day edition was chosen from hundreds of submissions to be the lead story. Kaitlynn's writing chronicles the Kennedy community's blood drives and their special significance to Kennedy senior Sean Murry, whose rare form of anemia causes him to receive lifesaving blood transfusions every two weeks.
